“Sweet Wine” recorded live at Mindrocket Studio Emerging from the eclectic Cleveland music scene, The Morning Bird fuse Indie Folk, Alt-Country and Rust Belt Blues with authenticity and conviction. Becoming a band in 2018, the quartet have quickly honed in a sound that sounds like they’ve been together for a decade. One shining example of this is the song “Sweet Wine,” performed live for their Mindrocket Session and also a standout cut from their debut EP, “Lonesome Leaving Sound.” The track oozes desperation and a longing for connection and balance. “Tell me all your wildest dreams, your insecurities and fears. I want to feel every scar dear, each wound, it makes you who you are. Come and drink me like sweet wine. I need you to take away my doubts,” is crooned across the track’s second half, while really driving home the song’s sentiment. All the while, these lyrics are delivered underneath cool and balanced blues riffs packed full of emotion.
